An evening with Abbey Road - World Famous Beatles Tribute Band


Abbey Road is considered the Ultimate Beatles Tribute Band by music critics everywhere.  Beatlemania comes to the Lake County Fair in Painesville, Ohio when the band performs on Saturday Evening, August 18th at the Fair’s main grandstand. The event is co-sponsored by the Lake County Fair Board and 98.5 WNCX Radio.  Tickets for both close-in trackside seating and grandstand seats will be sold on-line on a first-come, first-served basis through NEOFILL, beginning in mid-May. 

Abbey Road has an extensive resume and is rated among the top five Beatles tribute bands in the world.  They have been entertaining Beatles fans since 1983.  Even people who personally knew the Beatles are impressed by the accuracy of Abbey Road.  The thing that makes them so unique is their attention to authenticity.  “A lot of stress goes into this band,” said John Gilbert, who portrays Paul McCartney.  “We’ve got to do it right”.   Their dedication is apparent immediately.  Abbey Road uses all of the same vintage equipment that the original Fab Four used from the same guitars to the amps, the drums and the British accents.  The Beatles’ look has costume changes ranging from the Ed Sullivan days to Sgt. Pepper.  “This band’s a lot of work, but people know what the Beatles are all about and they love it,” Gilbert said.
