2018 Lake County Fair Queen Mackenzie Hupp
Miss Mackenzie Hupp was crowned the 2018 Lake County Fair Queen on July 15th at the seventh Queen’s Reception held at the Hellriegel’s Inn in Painesville Township. Mackenzie was one of five outstanding candidates trying out for Lake County Fair Queen.
Mackenzie is 18 years old and lives in Willoughby. She is a 2018 graduate from Willoughby South High School. Mackenzie also attended Lakeland Community College part time as a CCP (College Credit Plus) student and will be attending Westminster College in the fall. Mackenzie was a member of Key Club, Drama Club, Prom Planning Committee, Senior Advisory Committee and National Honors Society, where she was president her senior year. She also was involved in Varsity Soccer, Varsity Cross Country and Varsity Track while in school. She has received numerous awards and honors in Soccer, Cross Country, Track, Academics and 4-H. Mackenzie has been a member of the Giddy Up Whoa 4-H club for eight years, where she has been president of the club for four terms. Mackenzie raised 6 market chickens for auction at Fair. She has also completed leadership projects and various horse projects. She has also volunteered many hours at various organizations. Mackenzie was First Runner-Up for the 2017 Lake County Fair Queen Court.
Queen Mackenzie will represent the Lake County Fair at various community events such as festivals, parades and visiting other fairs throughout the coming year and she will also represent Lake County at the Ohio Fairs Queen Contest to be held in Columbus in January.
